CORE GROUPS

While a swimmer’s age continues to be the most important criteria for practice session grouping, two other criteria – an attendance commitment criterion and an ability-based criterion are also part of all practice group sessions. For purposes of satisfying the age-based criterion, a swimmer is eligible to be considered the age that the swimmer becomes at any point during the short course season.

For all practice groups, there is a minimum attendance requirement for practice and for meets. Meeting the minimum practice requirement will be a factor to ensure priority registration for the next winter short course season.

Tentative dates for Maverick hosted meets are Maverick Pentathlon, October 4, 2009; Maverick Roundup, November 7-8, 2009; First Splash, January 8-10, 2010; and Feed the Fire, February 20-22, 2009 (if eligible to swim in this meet).

Our 2009-2010 Short Course season begins on Tuesday, September 8th for Genesis Full Year and Genesis High School Boys swimmers and on Monday, September 21st for all other practice groups, other than High School Girls. The end of season championship meets begin in mid-February and last until mid-March.
