JOIN MAVERICK

SC 2025-2026 FALL/WINTER SEASON

Registration for the SC 2025-2026 season is complete with the potential exception of transfers and high school swimmers.

High School Swimmer?

Email the registrar with the swimmer’s name, year in school, and high school attending.

Transfer?
  • USA Swimming members who have recently relocated to the Naperville area may be accommodated on a space available basis. Please email the registrar your swimmer's name and age so that we can check with the appropriate group coach.
  • If your swimmer is transferring from another local team, we ask that you talk to your current/former team about the reasons prompting your change before making a decision to join Maverick. We strive to be good citizens of USA Swimming and maintain our relationships with neighboring teams.

FUTURE REGISTRATIONS

Those who are NEW to club swimming should review the Core Group Descriptions and Evaluation Information documents linked below to understand basic requirements for a swimmer’s age. These documents will help you understand our practice groups and evaluation process.

Prior to attending a Maverick evaluation in the future, swimmers are strongly encouraged to join their local neighborhood or park district teams during the summer to gain competitive team experience. The Naperville Swim Conference (NSC), Trident Conference in northeast Aurora, and DuPage Swim and Dive conference all offer excellent recreational league experiences with opportunities to compete 1-2 days per week. Most of those teams begin their signup in the early spring (March-April).

Prior competitive team experience (including summer recreational league) is especially helpful for swimmers age 9 and older. We do not offer a swim lesson program.

  • Core Group Descriptions (SC 2025-26 posted 6/18/25) - read this document to understand our practice group structure, necessary swimmer abilities, practice duration and attendance requirements, meet participation, and more. Although there is some flexibility with group placement based on a swimmer's age, the ages listed for each practice group are enforced. Note that the Minimum Ability Requirements listed for each group are minimums. The average functioning ability level of each group is currently higher than the listed minimum.
  • Evaluation Information (SC 2025-26 posted 6/18/25) - read this document to understand our evaluation process for the fall/winter short course season
  • Link here for full SC 2025-26 registration information including fees (update for SC 2025-26 coming soon). Registration for selected swimmers will follow immediately after the evaluation.

The Mission of The Maverick Swim Club is to provide the finest possible comprehensive aquatics program.

Our philosophy of “children first, swimmers second” creates an atmosphere where children learn valuable life lessons from their experiences in a competitive swimming environment.

We are committed to a structured, yet fun-oriented, program that provides an opportunity for swimmers to develop to their fullest potential.

The Maverick Swim Club is a USA Swimming member club that offers competitive swim team programs for Age Group and Senior swimmers from beginning to elite level competition.

It is the goal of Maverick Swim Club to offer age-specific training geared towards challenging and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities. In most cases, swimmers will join Maverick after completing at least one season of recreational league swimming or other competitive swim team experience.

There are two training seasons with separate registration, fees, and evaluation times. Swimmers may participate in the winter short course season, summer long course season, or both.

All potential new Maverick swimmers must attend a swimmer evaluation. Our coaching staff will evaluate to determine a swimmer's readiness for competitive club swimming. Group placement is at the discretion of our coaching staff.
