Spring/Summer Long Course 2024

The next opportunity to join us will be Spring/Summer Long Course 2024. Full information about the LC Season is posted here.

  • Swimmers joining us for the long course season will need to have prior competitive team experience with proven times (with the exception of our stroke clinic group for age 10 and under).
  • Those who do not yet have competitive experience are encouraged to join a summer recreational league team and then attend our evaluation in July for the SC 2024-25 season.
  • Interested swimmers should complete this signup form. In the event of openings for your swimmer's age and ability, the registrar will contact you directly.

Fall/Winter Short Course 2024-2025

Evaluation for Fall/Winter Short Course 2024-25 are planned for July 2024. Information and signup links will be posted on this page in June 2024.

Swimmers who are NEW to club swimming will find it helpful to review the Core Group Descriptions document below. Following evaluation, swimmers are placed in a group consistent with their age and ability. Note that the Minimum Ability Requirements listed for each group are minimums. Usually the functioning ability level of the group is higher than the listed minimum.

Those swimmers who do not yet have competitive team experience are encouraged to join their local neighborhood or park district teams during the summer to gain experience. This is especially helpful for swimmers age 9 and older. We do not offer a swim lessons program.

  • Core Group Descriptions - read this document to understand our practice group structure, necessary swimmer abilities, practice duration and attendance requirements, meet participation, and more.
  • Evaluation Information - read this document to understand our evaluation process (SC 2023-24 edition, does not apply to Summer LC)
  • Link here for full SC 2023-24 registration information including fees. Registration for selected swimmers will follow immediately after the evaluation.
  • Families who have recently relocated to the Naperville area and are currently USA Swimming members wishing to join Maverick can contact the registrar for assistance at any time and may be accommodated on a space available basis.
  • If your swimmer is transferring from another local team, we ask that you talk to your current/former team about the reasons prompting your change before making a decision to join Maverick. We strive to be good citizen of USA Swimming and maintain our relationships with neighboring teams.

The Mission of The Maverick Swim Club is to provide the finest possible comprehensive aquatics program.

Our philosophy of “children first, swimmers second” creates an atmosphere where children learn valuable life lessons from their experiences in a competitive swimming environment.

We are committed to a structured, yet fun-oriented, program that provides an opportunity for swimmers to develop to their fullest potential.

The Maverick Swim Club is a USA Swimming member club that offers competitive swim team programs for Age Group and Senior swimmers from beginning to elite level competition.

It is the goal of Maverick Swim Club to offer age-specific training geared towards challenging and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities. In most cases, swimmers will join Maverick after completing at least one season of recreational league swimming or other competitive swim team experience.

There are two training seasons with separate registration, fees, and evaluation times. Swimmers may participate in the winter short course season, summer long course season, or both.

All potential new Maverick swimmers must attend a swimmer evaluation. Our coaching staff will evaluate to determine a swimmer's readiness for competitive club swimming. Group placement is at the discretion of our coaching staff.

For more information, please email us.
